The kinetics of iron ore sinter feed granalation were shown to have a major impact on granule sie distribution. At laboratory scale it was shown that granule growth continued until a maximum stable sie distribution was achieved. Two stages to granule growth were observed.
2009-8-26mixtures contained combinations of Thabaimbi iron ore Sishen iron ore coke lime and return fines. The grain sie distributions were controlled by removing the 0.5 mm sie fractions of the return fines and coke and the 1 mm sie fraction of lime.
